I’m M.
A Bay Area working mom to wild toddlers and a goldendoodle who thinks he’s a third child, and the proud curator of half-eaten snack bags and mystery crumbs.
This season of life has me clocking in at the corporate office and clocking out as house manager, head chef, and bartender on a good night.
Here’s the thing nobody tells you: I was entirely wrong about almost everything I thought motherhood would look like. And honestly? I’m learning to be okay with that. A little grace goes a long way when you’re figuring it out in real time.
This blog started as a journal.
After some of the heaviest years of my life, a few years that held death and birth, job changes and new beginnings, grief and gratitude, all in the same breath, scribbling notes became how I cleared the mental clutter and found my way back to joy. Those journal pages slowly became this little corner of the internet. And I’m really glad they did.
Here’s what you’ll find when you stick around:
The Mental Load — the invisible, never-ending list that lives in every mom’s head. Honest, unfiltered musings so you feel a little less alone in carrying it.
The Crumbs We’re Eating — food moments, real recipes, and snack discoveries worth celebrating. Because food, whether home cooked or straight from a crinkly bag, is one of the greatest expressions of love.
The Bag — the gear, the snacks, the things that actually make mom life work. Real recommendations from a real bag that has absolutely seen better days.
The Bay (California) — local gems, hidden spots, and everyday life through the lens of raising toddlers in one of the most beautiful and chaotic places on earth.
The chaos. The crumbs. The joy tucked inside moments you almost scrolled past. If that’s your life too, welcome. You won’t remember everything you read here, but I hope you always remember how it made you feel.
New here? The best place to start is at the very beginning.
With love, ✦ M
